What is Magnolia Coast Sentinel?
News aggregation and commentary.
Magnolia Coast Sentinel presents the day to you in a clear, organized manner, free of clutter, with general local summaries across multiple sources, plus regional and topical coverage across many categories. It's a broad sampling of current local journalism: multiple views, from a variety of sources, in one place.
At its (current) core, the Sentinel is a fair-use news aggregator: we gather and organize the day's reporting from excellent local, regional and national outlets, and send you to them to read it yourself. The resources we link to present their reporting; we send you straight to their work.
As we grow, the hope is to build a framework for original, valuable content, drawing on different perspectives and expertise from numerous business sectors. For now, while that framework is being built, the Sentinel serves faithfully as an aggregator which clearly cites, credits and sends organic traffic to quality resources.
When Magnolia Coast Sentinel begins producing its own content, covering stories on its own with topical writing and local opinions to present directly, our content will live alongside the aggregation.
